For work, I'm a physics teacher. I'd have to say I'm pretty good at math. Shocked? I didn't think so, haha. I have tried so many different ways to construct the PERFECT CAT-EYE liner! I've watched so many videos and tried different eyeliners and nothing seemed to work. I was totally that meme you see on Facebook or iFunny with the girl who just kept putting more on in hopes that would make it perfect. Ya, no.. Didn't work...
I finally found a technique that REALLY WORKS and is SUPER easy!

That moment your cat eye is perfect.

First of all, this technique will work with ANY eyeliner type! I have the felt tip and liquid by Makeup Forever. I have the matte liquid liner and their high precision pen (click on their names to go straight to the site!)

NOW, I'm going to bring you back to high school and remind you of obtuse triangles. Yes, obtuse triangles. It's a triangle with an angle greater than 90 degrees. You're probably not sure what the heck I'm talking about or how this has anything to do with eyeliner BUT it all connects! I literally draw an obtuse triangle on my eye! Below is an obtuse triangle! Ringing any bells?!
First I make ONE LINE. I start at the edge of my eye, and draw the angle with respect to the END of my eyebrow. If you kept drawing the line with your eyeliner, it should meet the edge of your brow!

Now that the line is drawn, from the edge of the line (farthest away from your eye) I draw another line from that point to the top of my lid. THIS IS WHERE THE OBTUSE TRIANGLE CAN BE SEEN!   Notice the triangle on my eye!
And you thought none of the stuff you learned in school would help!

From there, I just color in the triangle! And now you can finish up the rest of your liner!
I just finish the line over my entire lid!

And TA-DA!
The perfect and easy cat-eye!

I am no make-up expect, but this is what works for me!
It's worth a try and TOTALLY EASY! Plus, you're using a little math :D

Let me know how the obtuse works for you! Enjoy!
